Best classic 3-step acne system
Proactiv is a consumer acne brand offering multi-step cleansing and treatment systems with benzoyl peroxide or adapalene.
Used it in high school, tried it again as an adult. Too drying for me now. The benzoyl peroxide works but I was better off with a targeted spot treatment and a gentle routine around it.
Works for teen-style oily acne. For my hormonal adult cysts it barely touches them. Helpful as a BPO spot product, not as a whole system.
My partner has been using it for years on his back acne and it's clearly helped keep things manageable. Simple, cheap, does the BPO job. Not my personal routine.
